Nila never got to be the center of attention in front of her friends and family some 25 years ago, when her and Chito first were married in a private ceremony.
But her special day finally happened, and all eyes were on her.
While getting ready for the wedding at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco, Nila said, “I guess I just love him more and more,” when we were talking about why they were getting married for the third time. The week of this wedding was their 25th wedding anniversary. They got married first during a civil ceremony and then again in the Philippines, where they are from. This time they flew out from New Jersey with their children, 23-year-old Eugene and May, 15, to a Daly City church Chito’s sister, Doy, attends. Doy did a fantastic job putting the majority of the event at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church together, from the planning to the cooking to the coordinating.
The evening ended on a sweet note, with each table’s center piece being a cake for the guests to enjoy!
