Chelsea, an Alaska girl as sweet as she is stunning, met her New England boy while they were working for the Coast Guard in California, a long way from home for both of them. They live in Annapolis, Maryland, but picked Erich’s family’s inn – a restored barn in the Vermont countryside decorated with a leather saddlebag, wooden snow shoes, baskets and roosters – as the setting for their most special day. It was a quiet and beautiful ceremony in a field surrounded by endless emerald hills. After the ceremony, we wandered around the Inn at Willow Pond. When we passed a pond, Chelsea tried to touch a frog as her prince stood overhead. They laughed and laughed and then wandered back to the inn to celebrate the evening with their guests who were enjoying Chelsea’s special Green Grizzly Grog cocktail and nibbling on the most delicious heart-shaped shortbread cookies her and her mom made.
