Before Amy and Felipe’s sendoff, there were lion dancers, a Native American drummer and hundreds of people lined up with sparklers to wish the high school sweethearts well after their wedding. The couple was married in Alameda at St. Joseph Basilica Parish, just down the street from her parent’s house, where the bridal party got ready. The ladies all wore jewelry custom-designed by Marrin Costello Designs. Amy’s dress from Janene’s Bridal Boutique in Alameda sparkled the entire day.

The reception was in San Ramon at Canon View Banquet Hall. Mickey and Minnie Mouse topped their ”And They Lived Happily Ever After” wedding cake. The tables were adorned with Disney-themed decorations, and lovely flowers – every detail planned by their wedding coordinator Jaryce Nobela of Jaryce Nobela Events. When Amy danced with her dad Bob, he would swing her around and them swing around himself – grinning from ear-to-ear. Her mom talked about how they were wondering if she was really their daughter when she was born because she was so beautiful – clearly proud parents. Felipe’s mom choked back tear during the mother-son dance, also a proud momma.

They have been together for a decade or so, since Amy was 15. When they danced, you could see the deep bond between the love birds. Felipe proposed to her at Disneyland in front of a castle, perfect for his Cinderella. They returned to the wonderland once again for their honeymoon.
