Family Portrait Session – Lake Chabot – Castro Valley

Debra ordered a portrait session for her grandchildren as part of a fundraiser for the Montclair Pet & Wildlife Fund. http://www.petandwildlifefund.org/. The Oakland hospital’s veterinarians help injured wildlife found by community members. I met the kids and their moms at Lake Chabot in Castro Valley. The leaves were still changing, just about a week before winter’s official arrival, and the grass was still green. Runners were zipping by without shirts on, something I doubt many East Coasters get to see during this time of year. The kids threw rocks in a stream, hung on bars, blew leaves, climbed along a fence and ran all over the place. It was challenging getting the six of them, who are all different ages, in one place for group photos, but we pulled it off. They are a bunch of characters and all of their varying expressions kept me entertained.
