Liz & Ed traveled from their home in Hawaii to say their vows on a beautiful, sunshiny day on the rooftop of the Fairmont San Francisco in front of their closest friends and family April 21. Their ceremony ended with the lovebirds releasing doves that flew over San Francisco’s tall buildings before circling back to sit on their shoulders. That was followed by a quaint lunch, and some tears as stories were shared. We did head out briefly, as guests were enjoying chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne, to California Street to hail a cable car. The conductor told us we weren’t allowed on and that we had to go to the end of the cable car line to hop onboard. But I think he felt guilty telling a glowing bride no on her most special day and he changed his mind. Liz and Ed briefly climbed onboard before the cable car continued its journey down the steep hill and we made our way back inside the Fairmont to continue their lovely celebration and the beginning of their own journey together.
