The Coast Guard transferred Erich from Alameda to Annapolis this summer and Chelsea accepted his invitation to go along. It didn’t take long for him to propose to her at their home after their move. He got down on one knee and the rest is history.
They spend their free time catching crabs right off their dock, kayaking, canoeing, and sailing around the Chesapeake Bay. And sometimes they take crazy flights south of the border, which is where I met them — drinking the strongest margaritas you could ever imagine late into the night in Mulege, Baja, Mexico, – a tiny, off-the-beaten-path town that we flew into on a bush pilot excursion.
They will be officially tying the knot in the spring on the East Coast.
